欧洲人……

看到这封很undiplomatic的回信，我只能说，应该写信给中国的外交机构，要求中国对所有申根国家国民采取对等待遇：团进团出，提前8周申请，探亲跟访友签证要分开，让他们都花一整天来办理中国签证。

查了一下法国驻英网站，也是说中国公民最多可能要8周申请申根签证。我的决定是：这辈子再也不去申根国家了。

Thank you for your letter of 21st August 2006, which I have read carefully.

I regret to learn about your difficulty to obtain an entry visa for visiting your family in Skanderborg in Denmark. We welcome visitors like you to go to Denmark. However, according to the Schengen regulations, in your case you will have to apply 8 weeks ahead of your planned visit. It is the duty of our staff in the consular section to inform you about this regulation. I am sorry the long processing time made it impossible for you to apply for a visa this time.

Your complaint about our conular officer Ms. Wendy Chen is noted. However, I can inform you that I am satisfied with Ms. Chen. She is working hard, is friendly and has no easy job on a daily basis to inform applicants about the Schengen regulations. Many applicants are using one whole day to apply for a visa.

I hope you will have another chance to visit you family in Skanderborge.
